Tour Details

After picking you up from your hotel in Melbourne, we'll head out on the Australian National Heritage-listed Great Ocean Road. Discover this area of incredible natural beauty on one of the world's most scenic coastal drives, highlighting roaring surf, endless beaches, rocky promontories, and enormous cliffs.

We’ll first stop at Torquay Beach, a famous surfing location. Next is the Role House, renowned for its unique architecture, suspended 40 metres (130 feet) above ground by a single concrete column. We’ll pause for a photo at the Great Ocean Road sign and proceed to a location to see koalas and colourful parrots in their natural habitat. Afterwards, we’ll visit Cape Patton for a great viewpoint along the Great Ocean Road.

A lunch break (at your own expense) will take place in Apollo Bay, known for its gastronomy and surf culture. Post lunch, you can explore local shops or swim in the ocean.

Next, stroll through the ancient rainforest of the Great Otway National Park, home to colourful parrots and towering eucalyptus trees. We will then continue to Port Campbell National Park to see the Twelve Apostles, dramatic limestone stacks with an informative overview of their formations and how only eight remain standing. Depending on conditions, a descent via Gibson Steps may be possible to view some Apostles from the beach.

The final stop is the Loch Ard Gorge, surrounded by wilderness and known for its maritime history. You’ll also see the Razorback and Island Archway rock formations. After this day of exploration, you will return to your hotel after dinner at a restaurant in Colac (at your own expense). The tour lasts a total of 13 hours.
