Discover the impressive natural landscape around Darwin with this tour of Nitmiluk National Park and Boat Cruise. Admire the beautiful views of Edith Falls and Katherine Gorge.
Nitmiluk National Park & Boat Cruise
We'll pick you up at the indicated time from your selected meeting point in Darwin and head to Nitmiluk National Park, approximately 250 kilometres (155 miles) away. The bus will take us along Stuart road, featuring views of the Northern Territory.
Halfway, we'll stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, honoring those who died in the Northern Territory during the Second World War, before continuing to Nitmiluk Park.
We'll explore its rugged landscapes, starting from the Katherine River Gorge and Edith Falls. A stop will be made at the waterfalls to appreciate the views and learn about the legends of the Jawoyn people, guardians of the park.
After a buffet meal outdoors, we'll visit the Visitor Centre to see photographs, Aboriginal artefacts, and videos related to Nitmiluk National Park.
The tour concludes with a boat cruise along Katherine Gorge for two hours, where you'll observe the diverse Nitmiluk landscape and wildlife, including crocodiles and birds.
We'll return to Darwin after a 14-hour tour of this area in Northern Australia.
