Pickup will occur at the selected meeting point in Darwin at the indicated time. We will travel to Nitmiluk National Park, approximately 250 kilometres (155 miles) from Darwin via Stuart road, notable for its scenic views of the Northern Territory.
On the way, we will stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery, honoring those who died in the Northern Territory during the Second World War. Continuing to Nitmiluk Park, we will explore its rugged landscapes, beginning with the Katherine River Gorge and Edith Falls. We will pause to view the waterfalls and learn about the legends of the Jawoyn people, the guardians of the park.
After an outdoor buffet meal, the tour includes a visit to the Visitor Centre to see photographs, Aboriginal artefacts, and videos. The final part of the tour is a two-hour boat cruise along Katherine Gorge, where you can observe the diverse wildlife, including crocodiles and birds.
The return trip to Darwin will conclude a 14-hour tour of this Northern Australia region.
