Explore the city famous for the Beatles with this Liverpool History Tour. You'll walk around the old town's main monuments as we reveal all its secrets - a must-see!

Liverpool History Tour

We'll meet at 2:30 pm in front of Sailors' Home Gate to start our guided tour of Liverpool, focusing on the city's evolution over more than three centuries.

The tour begins with a stroll through the streets of Liverpool, exploring history and architecture until we reach the Chinese Arch, the gateway to the oldest Chinatown in Europe.

Close to Chinatown is the Liverpool Cathedral, built in red sandstone, significant as the largest cathedral in the UK. We will discuss the controversies surrounding this 20th-century Gothic style temple designed by architect Giles Gilbert Scott.

The tour also includes a visit to St Luke's Church, known as the 'bombed church', where we'll cover key events from the city during World War II and its recovery.

Finally, we will walk through the Cultural Quarter, discovering St George's Hall, a notable neoclassical building, and the Liverpool Central Library.

The tour concludes around the Cultural Quarter at 4:30 pm.
