Zambezi River Rafting
After hotel pickup in Livingstone, you will proceed to the office for itinerary details and safety instructions. Next, equipment will be provided at the camp before descending to the banks of the Zambezi river. Guides will assist with paddle control practice to enhance your rafting experience in Zambia.
With life jackets and helmets on, your rafting journey begins through canyons and gorges for distances of 6 or 10 miles, depending on seasonal water levels. After a thrilling adventure, you'll stop at the banks to offload equipment and walk back to camp for a lunch to regain strength.
After the activity, transportation back to your hotel will be provided.
Rafts
Three types of rafts are available for your choice on the day of the activity:
Oar raft: suitable for beginners, children, and seniors, controlled by guides.Stern Mount Raft: ideal for families and those with previous rafting experience, where participants can aid paddling.Advanced paddle rafts: for experienced participants only, requiring collective paddling and coordination.
Important information
Children under 15 years old cannot participate. Those under 18 must be with an adult.Maximum weight is 300 lbs (140 kilos).Pregnant women and those with cardiac or back issues should not participate.
Departure from Victoria Falls
If you are in Victoria Falls, you can reserve the same rafting activity departing from there.
