Day Trip Details
We will meet in via Claudio Cogorano and board a bus to begin our exploration of two Tuscan cities.
After one hour, we will arrive in Lucca for an escorted walking tour. We will view the exterior of the Basilica of San Frediano and the tower of Palazzo Guinigi, along with other landmarks. We will also discuss the gladiator fights that took place in Amphitheater Square and share stories about Giacomo Puccini, a notable resident of Lucca.
Following the tour, you will have approximately two hours of free time for lunch and further exploration.
After three hours in Lucca, we will drive about 40 minutes to Pisa. You will be dropped off a 15-minute walk from Piazza dei Miracoli, a World Heritage Site.
You will have about one hour and 45 minutes to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Cathedral, and Baptistery.
After 7 hours of sightseeing, we will return to the starting point.
