Day Trip to Lucca + Pisa

On this trip from Livorno to Lucca and Pisa, we'll explore significant historical monuments in both cities, including the Guinigi Palace, Basilica of San Frediano, and Amphitheater Square.

Day Trip Details

We will meet at via Claudio Cogorano and board a bus to begin our journey. After one hour, we will arrive in Lucca for an escorted walking tour of the historic center, where we will view the exterior of the Basilica of San Frediano and the Palazzo Guinigi. We will also discuss the gladiator fights that took place in Amphitheater Square. Following the tour, you will have approximately two hours of free time for lunch and exploration before we depart for Pisa.

After approximately three hours in Lucca, we will drive about 40 minutes to Pisa, where you will be dropped off a 15-minute walk from the Piazza dei Miracoli. You will have around one hour and 45 minutes to visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Cathedral, and the Baptistery.

After 7 hours of sightseeing, we'll return to the starting point.
