Location

The Fernando Alonso Museum and Circuit is in Llanera, 15 minutes by car from Oviedo and half an hour from Gijón. Its location between the two main cities in Asturias makes it a significant tourist attraction.

A Bit of History

Fernando Alonso Diaz, born in Oviedo on 29th July 1981, showed early talent, winning the Asturian Children's Karting Championship in 1988 and 1989 and becoming the World Karting Champion in 1996. He debuted in Formula 1 in 2001, winning championships in 2005 and 2006. He established the museum in 2008, which opened on June 26, 2015, as a key location for F1 enthusiasts.

What's there to See at the Museum?

This 1,200 square metre museum features over 400 unique pieces from Fernando Alonso's personal collection. The permanent exhibition showcases his high-level sporting career, including:

The tour lasts approximately an hour. An audio guide in English narrated by Alonso is available at the front desk.

Opening Times

The museum operates from Monday to Sunday, 10 am to 7 pm, with last admission at 6 pm and rooms empty by 6:45 pm.

Ticket Validity

The admission ticket is valid for one-time use on the booked day only.

Karting Circuit

The museum includes an International Automobile Association-approved karting circuit. The ticket offers access to the stands but not for driving karts.

Children under 4

Children under 4 years can access the museum for free and do not require a ticket.
