Hike Details
Meet at the El Rincón de Pin restaurant in Pendueles to begin this hiking route along the eastern coast of Asturias. The hike will take you through a protected natural landscape. Starting in Pendueles, you will pass by the bowling alley, church, and Casa de Indianos, learning about the town's curiosities.
The route includes a section of the Camino de Santiago along the coast. After sharing stories about this part of the Camino, arrive at the Pendueles Beach Lookout for a photo opportunity.
Next, hike along a path by the sea to Playa de la Pica. After a brief stop at this beach, continue to the Cobijeru Complex Natural Monument, notable for its karst formations and cliffs.
Explore its interior beach, one of the few in Asturias, and learn about an old tide mill.
In the final part of the hike, pass through the town of Buelna, where you can observe local life and Asturian traditions. The hike concludes back at Pendueles 2 hours later.
