Join us for a day trip to the Lakes of Covadonga and the town of Cangas de Onís in Asturias.
Day Trip to Covadonga & Cangas de Onís
We will pick you up at the bus station in Llanes and proceed to the Picos de Europa National Park. Here, we will visit the famous Lakes of Covadonga, known for their remarkable natural beauty.
Our first stop will be at the Entrelagos viewpoint, offering panoramic views of Lakes Enol and Ercina. After taking in the scenery, we will visit the Royal Site of Covadonga to see its basilica and the Holy Cave, where the figure of La Santina is situated, a symbol linked to Don Pelayo and the Reconquest.
After exploring Covadonga, we will travel to Cangas de Onís, where you will have 2 hours of free time. During this period, you can enjoy the local cuisine and landscapes. Notable sites include the Roman bridge over the Sella River and the church of Santa María de la Asunción, near which the statue of Don Pelayo is located.
We will reconvene in the center of Cangas de Onís to start our journey back to Llanes, arriving approximately seven hours after the initial pickup.
