Llerena Guided Tour
We'll meet at the indicated time in the Plaza de España to start this guided tour of Llerena.
For two and a half hours, we'll walk through the picturesque streets of this town while learning about its history. Llerena was the Court of the Holy Inquisition seat until the 19th century, with jurisdiction over Extremadura and part of Castile.
Throughout the tour, we will reveal fascinating facts about Llerena while exploring its most notable places. We'll visit the city walls and gates, the palace of the Zapata family, the convent of Santa Clara and La Merced, the Hospital Juan de Dios, and the church of Nuestra Señora de la Granada, which houses one of the first works by painter Francisco de Zurbarán.
After discovering churches, noble palaces, medieval towers, and the Mudejar past of Llerena, we will conclude the guided tour by returning to the starting point two and a half hours later.
