Day 1

We'll pick you up between 7:00 and 8:00 am at your hotel in Baños de Agua Santa. You'll receive an introduction to crampons, ice axes, and mountain trekking essentials.

Our next stop will be the Cotopaxi volcano. We will hike from a nearby car park to a refuge at an altitude of 14763 feet (4500 metres). After arriving, we will have soup, a plate of meat, and juice.

Later, we will proceed to the glacier area for a session on ice trekking. In the evening, dinner will consist of a plate of meat or chicken with juice.

Day 2

At 12 am, we will wake up to prepare for the summit ascent. Before departing the refuge, we'll have a snack of bread, fruit, and tea or coffee. We will embark on a six-hour trekking route to reach 19347 feet (5897 metres).

Upon arrival, you will enjoy views of the Andes mountain range. We will then walk back to the lodge for coffee and fruit before returning to your hotel in Baños de Agua Santa, arriving at 2 pm.

Accommodation

This tour includes one night's accommodation at the José Ribas mountain refuge in a shared room with a single bed.
