Day 1
We'll pick you up at your hotel in Baños de Agua Santa at 8:30 am. A brief introduction will be provided about safety and equipment for the ascent before we head to the Tungurahua volcano.
Upon arrival, a 3-hour hiking route to the Garganta de Fuego refuge at an altitude of 12,634 feet (3,851 meters) will commence. There, we will have soup, a meat dish, and juice. In the afternoon, we will explore the surroundings and prepare for the next climb.
A dinner of a meat or chicken dish and juice will be served before resting for the next day.
Day 2
At around 1 am, we will wake up and have coffee, bread, and fruit to prepare for the final ascent. The next six hours will involve a hiking route to the summit of Mama Tungurahua, known for its permanent activity. Enjoy views of the sunrise over the Andes from the top.
