Tungurahua Volcano 2-Day Hiking Excursion
Day 1
Pickup will be at your hotel in Baños de Agua Santa at 8:30 am. A safety briefing and equipment overview will precede our departure to the Tungurahua volcano.
Upon arrival, we'll hike for 3 hours to the Garganta de Fuego refuge, situated at 12,634 feet (3,851 meters). There, soup, a meat dish, and juice will be provided. In the afternoon, we'll explore the area and prepare for the next day's climb.
Dinner will include a meat or chicken dish and juice, followed by rest for the upcoming ascent.
Day 2
We will wake up at 1 am for coffee, bread, and fruit. The final ascent will take approximately six hours to reach the summit of Mama Tungurahua, which is permanently active. The views of the sunrise over the Andes from the summit will be remarkable.
After descending to the refuge, we will continue to the parking lot and take a minibus back to Baños de Agua Santa, arriving at approximately 2 pm.

The tour includes one night of accommodation at the Garganta de Fuego mountain refuge in a shared hostel-style room with a single bed.
