Activity Details

The Viña Ijalba Bodega is located just a 15-minute walk from the Puente de Piedra bridge in Logroño, a key wine tourism centre in the Rioja region of Spain.

Upon arrival at the winery, you'll embark on a guided tour, discovering the different types of grapes grown on over 210 acres of vineyards, as well as the production process of the wines within the bodega's facilities. Viña Ijalba's wines are recognized by the La Rioja Denominación de Origen for their quality.

During the tour, you'll learn about the winery's history since its foundation in 1991 and visit the underground ageing room. The cellar houses around two thousand casks made from premium French and American oak.

The tour concludes with a tasting of three house wines. An expert will guide you in appreciating the wines' flavors, aromas, and colors to identify their varieties. You will also enjoy a tasting of typical Rioja snacks from kilometer 0, including cheese, chorizo, and salami, to accompany the wine.
