Sailboat Tour of the Marine Protected Area of Tavolara

Join us on a sailboat adventure to explore the pristine waters of Tavolara's Marine Protected Area. You will find breathtaking coves and a remarkable ecosystem in the Sardinian waters!

Tour Overview

Our journey begins at via San Paolo in Porto San Paolo, where we will convene at the scheduled time for the sailboat excursion along the stunning Tavolara coastline. Once everyone has arrived, we'll proceed with the check-in process and board the sailboat, followed by a brief overview of sailing guidelines.

Weather permitting, our first destination will be either Isola dei Cavalli, Isola Piana, or Spiaggia del Doctor. After a refreshing swim in the clear waters, we will set sail towards Tavolara Island, recognized for its striking limestone and granite cliffs that rise dramatically 560 meters (1,840 feet) from the sea.

To enhance your experience, a delicious appetizer featuring local Sardinian ingredients alongside a serving of seafood pasta will be provided for lunch. This meal is a perfect way to regain your energy after taking a dip in the ocean!

Subsequently, we will sail by Molara Island, where you'll find ideal swimming and diving spots. Depending on the wind direction, the captain may also guide us to the western section of the Marine Protected Area, which boasts numerous bays filled with vibrant scenery.

As we continue, don’t miss the opportunity to appreciate Girgolu Cove, known for its crystal-clear waters and unique rock formations. Look out for the renowned turtle rock—let's see if you can find it!

Finally, we will return to our departure point after this enriching 6-hour experience.
