PADI Open Water Diving Course
This 3 day course is designed for learning scuba diving in open waters. The theoretical portion is conducted at the scuba diving centre at Gili Trawangan's Pesona Beach Resort & Spa hotel. This island is recognized as one of the main diving destinations in Southeast Asia.
Throughout the course, guidelines from the PADI Open Water training will be followed, leading to an official certification upon completion. Day one includes five educational videos and initial equipment training in the centre's pool.
Once the instructors assess that the group is prepared, the next two days will consist of a total of 4 dives in the open waters of Gili Trawangan. One day will feature two dives to a maximum depth of 12 metres, while the following day will include two dives up to 18 metres. Diverse marine life such as octopuses and clownfish can be expected.
Who can join this activity?
Participants must fill out a form certifying physical fitness.To enroll in the course, individuals must pass two pool tests: 10 minutes of floating without assistance and swimming 200 metres without assistance or 300 metres with a mask and snorkel.
Taxes not included
The activity does not cover local tax of 100,000 Indonesian rupiah per person (approximately 8 USD) to be paid in cash on the first day.
