The HMS Belfast is the Royal Navy’s flagship and now operates as a museum ship. It is the only cruiser to witness significant historic events in the 20th century, with its first mission in 1939 involving a blockade of Germany during World War II.

Exploring its nine decks reveals important aspects of history, and visitors can experience the life of the crew who lived on board. Facilities like the dentistry, infirmary, laundry room, and bakery provide insight into daily life during the war.

Gun Turret Experience

The Gun Turret Experience is an AV installation and a highlight of the museum. Special effects, sound, smoke, and movements create a realistic atmosphere that immerses visitors in a simulated naval combat scenario.

Situated in one of the boat’s gun turrets, the installation was created by veterans of the British Royal Marine and is inspired by the Battle of the North Cape, ensuring a memorable experience.
