The Royal Observatory in Greenwich is the home of British astronomy and navigation. Built in the 17th century, it has witnessed how great scientists of the time mapped the stars to aid navigation at sea.

With this ticket, you'll visit the site that gave its name to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) and see the prime meridian - 0° 0’ 0”! You'll even get to stand on it!

During the tour, you'll have an audio guide that will provide information on the astronomical advances made at this centre throughout history.

Opening Hours

The Greenwich Observatory is open every day from 10 am to 5 pm. Last admission is at 4:30 pm. Please note that these hours may occasionally vary.
