Glass Bottom Boat Tour
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at Shoreline Village Drive at the indicated time. There, we'll board a glass bottom boat and embark on this journey. All aboard!
As we set sail through the Port of Long Beach, we'll observe the thriving ecosystems. We will explore the "shallow water habitat" near the breakwall, where fish swim below and around the boat. Throughout the tour, we'll learn about the effects of water pollution on underwater wildlife and the importance of pollution prevention.
Next, we'll pass by the kelp beds, areas with abundant seaweed. What will we see hiding there? Keep your eyes peeled!
As we cruise through Long Beach Harbor, we'll sail past the iconic RMS Queen Mary, which has been retired in Long Bay since 1967. We'll hear about this vessel's history as we sail by.
Finally, after an hour of discovering the ecosystems thriving in the Port of Long Beach, we will return to shore and conclude the tour.
