Glass Bottom Boat Tour
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at Shoreline Village Drive at the indicated time. There, we'll board a glass bottom boat and embark on this unforgettable journey.
As we set sail through the Port of Long Beach, we'll see the thriving ecosystems in the port up close. We'll explore the "shallow water habitat" near the breakwall, where fish swim below and around the boat. Throughout the tour, we'll discuss the effects of water pollution on underwater wildlife and the importance of pollution prevention.
Next, we'll pass by the kelp beds, areas rich in seaweed, observing what may be hiding in there.
As we cruise through Long Beach Harbor, we'll sail past the iconic RMS Queen Mary, retired in Long Bay since 1967, while learning about its history.
After an hour of exploring the ecosystems in the Port of Long Beach, we'll return to land and conclude the tour.
