Glass Bottom Boat Tour
On the day of the activity, we'll meet at Shoreline Village Drive at the indicated time. There, we'll board a glass bottom boat and embark on this unforgettable journey.
As we set sail through the Port of Long Beach, we'll see the thriving ecosystems up close. We'll explore the shallow water habitat near the breakwall, observing fish swimming below and around the boat. Throughout the tour, we'll discuss the effects of water pollution on underwater wildlife and the importance of pollution prevention.
We'll also pass by the kelp beds, rich in seaweed, where various marine life may be hiding. As we cruise through Long Beach Harbor, we will sail past the iconic RMS Queen Mary, retired in Long Bay since 1967, and learn about its history.
Finally, after one hour of discovering the ecosystems thriving in the Port of Long Beach, above and beneath the waterline, we'll return to shore and conclude the tour.
