Canipole Cave Painting Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Loreto and drive by minibus to the San Francisco mountain range, home to significant cave paintings in Baja California Sur.
We'll begin with a 45-minute hike to the Canipole Caves, where we will observe the local flora and fauna and learn various details about the area.
During the tour, we will explore how people lived in these lands before the Spanish conquistadors and missionaries arrived, along with the organization of the Native American hunting tribes, while admiring the cave art.
While viewing the cave drawings, we will discuss their importance and the necessity for preservation. Participants will also learn the difference between a petroglyph and a pictograph.
After 2 hours of excursion, we'll return to the minibus and conclude the activity by dropping you back off at your hotel.
