Tour to the San Javier Mission
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Loreto to begin this excursion to the San Javier mission. We'll travel by minibus for approximately 1 hour until we arrive at our destination.
The tour will start by learning about the mission of San Francisco Javier Viggé Biaundó, a Jesuit temple with origins dating back to the late 17th century.
We'll enter the building to admire its sculptures and paintings while learning about the history of this monument. Discussions will cover the Spanish missions in Baja California and the spread of Catholic doctrine among Native Americans.
During the guided tour, we'll see the cemetery of the temple, walk through fruit orchards, and visit the oldest olive tree garden in the region.
Finally, we'll return to the minibus and take a break to enjoy a typical Mexican lunch consisting of handmade tortillas, fresh cheese, and drinks.
After 4.5 hours of excursion, we'll finish the activity back at your hotel.
