Discover beautiful rock art in Argentina on our day trip to the Cueva de las Manos from Los Antiguos. You'll also go hiking through spectacular scenery, such as the Pinturas River Canyon.

Cueva de las Manos Day Trip + Hiking

Between 8 and 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Los Antiguos. We'll drive along Ruta 40, making stops for pictures and to admire the scenery, including Caracoles Canyon.

Our journey ends at the Cueva de las Manos Visitor Centre, where our hiking route through the Pinturas River Canyon will begin. This area is known for its rock walls filled with prehistoric art. We will discuss the meaning of these paintings.

After an hour of hiking, we'll arrive at the centre of the Cueva de las Manos and explain the different theories regarding the paintings. For those interested, an additional 3-mile (5-kilometre) hike is available at no extra charge.

After our hike, we will enjoy a lunch consisting of meat and vegetable rolls, fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables, homemade puddings, and assorted infusions. After lunch, we will take the minibus to Caracoles Canyon for a new hiking route, where we will also see the Tierras de Colores.

At 5 pm, we will return to your hotel in Los Antiguos.
