Ria Formosa Bike Tour
At 10 am, we'll meet up in front of The Shack restaurant in Almancil to start a tour through the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Prepare for a journey through one of the most scenic areas in the Algarve.
The 12-mile long route will guide us through the Natural Park's captivating labyrinth of channels, marshes, and sandbanks. Participants will receive insights on the significance of this natural environment and may encounter seahorses, flamingos, waterdogs, and other specimens of local wildlife.
We will also observe several salt flats, discussing the local fishing traditions and the work associated with these areas.
The bike tour concludes back at the starting point at approximately 12:30 pm.
Who can take part in the activity?
The minimum height required to participate in this activity is 4 ft. Participants must also weigh a minimum of 3 stones.
