For biking enthusiasts, the journey through Ria Formosa Natural Park is an unmissable experience. Immerse yourself in the vibrant ecosystems of southern Portugal as you ride through stunning natural settings.

Ria Formosa Bike Tour

Our adventure begins at 10 am in front of The Shack restaurant located in Almancil. Here, we will embark on our cycling expedition through the breathtaking Ria Formosa Natural Park. Prepare to encounter some of the most picturesque landscapes in the Algarve!

The route spans approximately 12 miles, guiding us through the park's most captivating areas.

This estuary presents an intricate network of channels, marshes, and sandbanks. You will gain insights into the significance of this ecosystem, with the chance to spot seahorses, flamingos, waterdogs, and a variety of local wildlife.

Additionally, we will explore several salt flats, learning about the traditional practices involved in their maintenance and the enduring fishing heritage of this coastal region.

Our delightful bike tour will conclude back at the meeting point around 12:30 pm.
