Ria Formosa Bike Tour

At 10 am, we'll meet up in front of The Shack restaurant in Almancil. There, we will hop on the bikes to start a tour that will take us through the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Prepare to enjoy stunning landscapes in the Algarve.

The 12-mile long route will take us to enchanting corners of the Natural Park.

The estuary is a captivating labyrinth of channels, marshes, and sandbanks. Along the way, you will learn about the importance of this natural environment and may encounter seahorses, flamingos, waterdogs, and other local wildlife.

We will also observe several salt flats, learn about the work involved in them, and discuss the fishing tradition in this area of Portugal.

Finally, our bike tour concludes back at the starting point at approximately 12:30 pm.

The minimum height required to participate in this activity is 4 ft. You must also weigh a minimum of 3 stones.
