Cirque de Gavarnie & Spanish Bridge Day Trip

We will meet at 8 am next to the Hôtel d'Espagne. After a 1-hour drive in a minibus, we will arrive at the Spanish Bridge (Pont d'Espagne) for 2 hours of free time to take photos of this stone bridge over a gorge.

During this time, consider taking the Gaube Lake chairlift for views of the French Pyrenees, or alternatively, hike in the Marcadau Valley to observe the local flora and fauna.

Next, we will head to Cauterets for lunch in this spa town known for thermal springs. Here, we will also visit a confectioner to try berlingots, a traditional French sweet.

Our final stop will be the Cirque de Gavarnie, featuring rock walls nearly 5,000 feet (1,500 meters) high and protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will appreciate the scenery and waterfalls before returning to the starting points at around 7 pm.
