Cirque de Gavarnie & Spanish Bridge Day Trip

We will meet at 8 am next to the Hôtel d'Espagne to explore natural wonders near Lourdes.

After a 1 hour drive in the minibus, we will arrive at the Spanish Bridge ('Pont d'Espagne'). You will have 2 hours of free time to take pictures of this stone bridge over a gorge. During this time, you can take the Gaube Lake chairlift for views of the French Pyrenees or hike around the Marcadau Valley to observe local flora and fauna.

Next, we will head to Cauterets, where you will have time for lunch. This spa town is known for its thermal springs and historical significance. We will also visit a confectioner to sample berlingots, a traditional sweet.

The final stop will be at the Cirque de Gavarnie, featuring rock walls rising almost 5,000 feet (1,500 meters) high. We will admire its beauty, including waterfalls, in this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We will conclude our trip and return to the starting point by around 7 pm.
