At the time indicated, we'll meet at Piazzale Giuseppe Verdi? and head to the walls of Lucca. Are you ready to discover one of the landmarks of this UNESCO World Heritage city?

During the tour, we'll explore the period between the 13th and 17th centuries and see how military engineering has evolved in Italy. The walls of Lucca were never used for defensive purposes, leading to their preservation in an almost intact state.

The wall system is part of a public park with green areas surrounding the city. We'll admire these fortifications from both the outside and inside, including a visit to the inner galleries where cannons and ammunition were stored.

We'll also examine bastions such as San Donato and Santa Maria, discovering their roles within the wall structure and the recent restoration efforts.

Lastly, we'll conclude the guided tour after 2 hours at the bastion of San Martino.
