We'll meet at Piazzale Giuseppe Verdi? and proceed to the walls of Lucca. This tour focuses on one of the landmarks of this UNESCO World Heritage city.

During the tour, we will explore the evolution of military engineering in Italy from the 13th to the 17th centuries. The walls of Lucca were never used for defensive purposes due to the absence of war, resulting in their preservation.

The wall system is integrated into a public park with green areas surrounding the city. We will admire the fortifications from both the outside and inside, including a visit to the inner galleries where cannons and ammunition were stored.

We will also explore bastions such as San Donato or Santa Maria to understand their roles and the restoration efforts carried out in recent years.

The guided tour will conclude after 2 hours at the bastion of San Martino.
