Lucca Guided Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Piazzale Giuseppe Verdi to begin this guided tour that will lead us to discover the main monuments of Lucca.
During our guided tour, we'll walk through the historic center declared a World Heritage Site and discover why Lucca is known as the City of 100 Towers & 100 Churches while admiring its most emblematic buildings.
Lucca's walls have remained almost intact since the 16th century, preserved due to the city's absence of warfare.
We'll visit the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, shaped by the Roman amphitheater that stood on this site in the 2nd century.
Along Via Fillungo, we'll see buildings like the Torre delle Ore and the Church of San Cristoforo. We will also discuss Lucca’s significance in the history of music, highlighting that Giacomo Puccini, the composer of La bohème, was born here.
We'll conclude our guided tour next to the Lucca Cathedral, also known as the Cathedral of Saint Martin, after a duration of 2 hours.
