At the scheduled time, we'll meet at the statue of Garibaldi in Piazza del Giglio. Here we'll begin a guided tour to discover the importance of Lucca in the history of music. Welcome to the city of the composer of La bohème!

We will discuss Giacomo Puccini outside the Teatro del Giglio, an opera house originating from the 17th century.

During the tour, we'll stroll through the historic center of Lucca, highlighting places that influenced works of musicians from Francesco Geminiani and Luigi Boccherini to the Rolling Stones.

The tour will then proceed to Piazza Cittadella, home to a sculpture honoring Giacomo Puccini. We will review key episodes of his biography and enter the Puccini Museum, located in his former birthplace. This exhibition showcases scores, instruments, letters, and other personal items of the composer.

The tour will conclude after 2 hours together at the Puccini Museum.
