Bern Day Trip

On this day trip to Bern, we'll visit the historic city centre and a typical dairy farm where the famous Emmental cheese is made.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Frankenstrasse 2 - 4 in Lucerne and drive south towards a beautiful area of Switzerland.

We'll drive through the Entlebuch biosphere reserve and stop in Trubschachen to visit the Kambly biscuit factory, where we will see the production process and enjoy a tasting.

Next, we will proceed to the capital of Switzerland for a walking tour of the historic centre of Bern. The tour includes the exterior of key monuments like the Bern Minster Cathedral, Zytglogge clock tower, and the Bundeshaus at the Federal Palace of Switzerland, located by the river Aare.

Following the guided tour, you'll have one hour of free time to relax, explore, and shop before we head to the outskirts to visit the Emmentaler cheese factory, with tasting included.

We will then visit a local dairy farm for a photo opportunity with the Swiss cows and possibly see the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks, conditions permitting.

Lastly, we'll provide a goodie bag with traditional Swiss food before returning to the meeting point in Lucerne, concluding our trip after a total of 8 hours and 45 minutes.
