Details of the Day Trip

Our journey begins at the designated bus parking lot in Landenberg in Lucerne. From here, we will embark on a bus ride towards the canton of Bern. Along the way, we will make a brief stop to capture photos of the enchanting alpine town of Interlaken, renowned for its stunning location between the lakes of Thun and Brienz.

As we continue our journey, prepare to be captivated by Grindelwald, recognized as one of the most beautiful towns in the area. Upon our arrival, you will receive your tickets for the return train to Interlaken and for the cable car ride to the summit of First Mountain. The gondola lifts will raise us to a breathtaking height of 2100 meters (6,889 ft) where you can marvel at the stunning vistas!

At the summit of First Mountain, you will have 3 hours of leisure time to savor a meal, enjoy a drink, and absorb the serene beauty surrounding you. Your cable car ticket also grants access to the First View observation platform and the exhilarating Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge, extending 40 meters (131 ft) above the ground.

Make sure to take the cable car back to Grindelwald in a timely manner. While you're free to explore the town at your own pace, remember that the return train to Interlaken departs according to the schedule on your ticket. After our adventure, we will return by bus to Lucerne, concluding this expansive trip after 10 hours together.

First Flyer Zipline

Experience the thrill of the zipline located 800 meters (2,624 ft) in the air, reaching speeds of 84 kilometers per hour (52 mph) as you glide from First Mountain to Schreckelf Station.

First Glider Zipline

The experience mirrors the First Flyer, but this zipline is uniquely designed in the shape of an eagle and accommodates four riders simultaneously.

First Mountain Car

This pedal-powered vehicle will take you on a journey from First Mountain to the Bort station. The route spans approximately 3 kilometers (1.86 miles) and offers stunning panoramic views of the surroundings.

Trottibike Scooter

A thrilling way to descend from First Mountain to Grindelwald Station is on an electric bike.

Tour Guidance

This excursion includes partial guidance, with a guide accompanying participants on the bus ride from Lucerne to Grindelwald and during the return trip from Interlaken to Lucerne.

During your free time in Grindelwald and at First Mountain, as well as throughout the train journey from Grindelwald to Interlaken, the guide will not be present. However, comprehensive information will be provided to ensure you can enjoy these sites independently.

Note: Starting April 1, 2026, the guide will accompany the entire tour. Additionally, the train journey from Grindelwald to Interlaken will be replaced with an exploration of Lauterbrunnen.
