Grindelwald & First Mountain Excursion

If you want to make the most out of the Swiss Alps, then you can't miss this trip from Lucerne, which will allow you to visit the town of Grindelwald and the top of the iconic First Mountain. You'll love it!

Description

From Frankenstrasse 2 – 4 in Lucerne, we will travel by bus to the Berna canton, making a brief stop in Interlaken for photos. We will then proceed to Grindelwald, where participants will receive train tickets for the return trip to Interlaken and cable car tickets to First Mountain, taking us to a height of 2100 metres (6,889 ft).

Participants will have 3 hours of free time at First Mountain to eat and enjoy the landscape, including access to the First View observation platform and the Cliff Walk by Tissot suspension bridge, which is 40 metres (131 ft) long. The cable car back to Grindelwald should be taken in sufficient time, with a reminder that the return train to Interlaken will depart as per the ticket schedule. The bus will then transport us back to the meeting point in Lucerne, concluding the 10-hour trip.

At the summit of First Mountain, you can enjoy the following optional activities:

First Flyer Zipline

This zipline operates 800 metres (2,624 ft) above the ground, reaching 84 kilometres an hour (52 mph). Availability: Until 27th October 2024.

First Glider Zipline

This zipline, shaped like an eagle, allows for 4 people to ride together. Availability: Until 27th October 2024.

First Mountain Car

A pedal-powered vehicle spanning 3 kilometres (1.86 miles) from First Mountain to the station in Bort. Availability: from 1st May 2024 until 27th October 2024.

Trottibike Scooter

This electric bike is used to travel from First Mountain to Grindelwald Station. Availability: from 1st May 2024 until 27th October 2024.

Guide

This tour is partially guided. The guide will accompany travelers on the bus from Lucerne to Grindelwald and during the return journey. There will be no guide present during free time in Grindelwald and First Mountain or on the train from Grindelwald to Interlaken, but necessary information will be provided for independent exploration.
