Swiss Museum of Transport

Located in Lucerne, on the shores of Lake Lucerne, the Verkehrshaus or Swiss Museum of Transport is the most visited museum in Switzerland.

With your ticket, you'll explore the past, present, and future of mobility. The permanent exhibition features different rooms showcasing the evolution of public transport, from early infrastructure to modern technology.

A notable room is dedicated to rail transport, displaying Swiss SBB trains and the history of the Gotthard Tunnel, which was the longest in the world when built in 1882. The land transport area includes a collection of carriages, motorbikes, bicycles, and automobiles, along with a Formula 1 simulator. Other areas cover air and space travel, as well as sea and river transport.
