Immerse yourself in the beautiful landscapes of the Sil River Canyons on this tour from Lugo. You will also enjoy a tasting of local wine!
Description
After being picked up from your hotel in Lugo, you'll leave the city and travel south towards the Ribeira Sacra, an area renowned for its stunning natural beauty, roughly translating to "Sacred Shores".
To fully explore this remarkable part of Galicia, you'll board a tourist train (from October to May) or a boat (from June to September), taking you on a scenic adventure around the canyons of the Sil River.
The river flows between dramatic gorges, with steep vineyards lining the banks. These vineyards are known for producing white wines labeled with the Ribeira Sacra Denominación de Origen.
Before your train or boat tour of the Sil River landscapes, enjoy a tasting at the Regina Viarium winery, where you can savor the exquisite wines that the region is famous for while taking in the breathtaking views over Ribeira Sacra from the winery's viewpoint.
At the conclusion of your exploration of Ribeira Sacra, you will return to Lugo, arriving approximately six hours after your departure.
