Mendoza River Rafting Activity
During the Mendoza River Rafting Activity, participants can choose between a 12 or 30-kilometre (7.4 to 18-mile) rafting route. The meeting point is at the Parque de Aventura in Potrerillos, next to the Mendoza River.
12-Kilometre Rafting Route (2 hours)
The 12-kilometre option involves a 15-minute drive along Ruta 7 to a main spot on the Mendoza River. After an instructor's introduction, the rafting experience begins, suitable for beginners, with class II and III moderate-difficulty rapids. The rafting lasts for 60 minutes.
Schedule: This option is available from May to June at 11 am or 3 pm.
30-Kilometre Rafting Route + Lunch (5 to 6 hours)
The 30-kilometre route includes exploration around Cerro Negro, lasting between 3 hours 30 minutes and 4 hours with class II and III rapids. A lunch stop occurs at the old Guido train station, offering a country barbecue with sausages, vegetables, salad, and fruit, along with options of wine, juice, or mineral water.
After lunch, participants continue rafting towards the Tierras Coloradas area before returning to the starting point.
Schedule: This activity can be booked between December and March at 11 am.
