Tour Details

Your adventure begins at Boulevard de la Pétrusse & Place de Metz, where participants will meet at the designated time to kick off this engaging day trip. Are you ready to explore some of Luxembourg's most beautiful sites? You will traverse verdant valleys, flowing rivers, and charming forests, showcasing the natural splendor of the region.

This captivating audio-guided journey starts at the Mullerthal trail and the Schiessentümpel waterfall. Here, you can enjoy a 45-minute hike alongside the river, enveloped by lush greenery. The trail culminates at the impressive waterfalls, a beloved picture-perfect spot within the area known as "Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland."

Following the hike, we will comfortably board our vehicle and proceed to Beaufort, a location steeped in historical relevance and natural beauty. During the spring and summer, feel free to explore the stunning Beaufort Castle, a historical treasure set against the picturesque Luxembourgish countryside. This castle features two main parts: a medieval fortress dating back to the 11th century and a Renaissance chateau added in the 1600s.

The next stop is the delightful town of Vianden. Nestled along the banks of the River Our, this medieval gem is famed for its well-preserved castle and idyllic scenery. You will have 2.5 hours to meander through its charming streets and absorb the vibrant culture and rich history. A highlight of this visit is undoubtedly Vianden Castle, one of Europe's significant feudal structures showcasing Gothic and Romanesque architecture.

Your journey will conclude in Echternach, recognized as the oldest town in Luxembourg, where you'll enjoy 45 minutes of leisure time. This historic town is home to the notable Basilica, the historic abbey, and a lively marketplace. The basilica serves as the resting place for Saint Willibrord, the founder of the abbey, which has roots dating back to the 7th century and remains vital to the region's religious landscape. Before leaving, consider taking a stroll through the marketplace for a taste of the local ambiance.

We will then commence our return to the starting point, arriving approximately 7 to 8 hours after our adventure began. Äddi!
