On this guided tour of the Temple of Karnak, we will explore the sanctuary dedicated to Amun, the main center of worship in Ancient Egypt.
Karnak Temple Guided Tour
At the scheduled time, we will meet at the entrance of the Temple of Karnak to begin our guided tour. This will cover the largest temple in the country, constructed by pharaohs such as Hatshepsut, Seti I, Ramses II, and Ramses III between 2200 and 360 BC. The Karnak complex includes multiple temples, several chapels, and a large sacred lake.
The Hypostyle Hall is a notable feature, showcasing 134 columns that impress with their size and preservation. We will also traverse the Avenue of the Sphinxes, which leads to the Temple of Luxor, where we will discuss the significance of the ram-headed sphinxes that guard the site.
The tour will last two hours, concluding at the starting point.
