Valley of the Kings and Queens, Colossus and Hatshepsut Tour

On this excursion, we'll visit the most famous necropolis of the ancient Thebes, which includes the tombs of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, Set I, and queens like Nefertari.

Itinerary

We will pick you up from your hotel, boat, or train station in the morning and head to the east bank, where the famous necropolis is located.

Our first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, a necropolis housing over 60 tombs excavated in the rocks. Thutmose I was the first king buried here, and the site is notable for tombs of kings such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, and Set I. We will visit some of their most significant tombs.

Next, we will visit the Valley of the Queens, which contains the tombs of princesses and wives of the Pharaohs of the New Kingdom. You may visit Nefertari's tomb (entry fee not included).

We will then proceed to the Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to the only female pharaoh who ruled Egypt for an extended time. The temple, designed by architect Sennenmut, is unique for its rock-carved and terraced structure.

Our final stop in Luxor will be the Colossi of Memnon, two large statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III, gazing over the Nile and the rising sun.

The tour will conclude by returning you to the pickup point.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup and drop-off exclusively at hotels and boats in Luxor on the eastern banks of the Nile. Upon return, you will be dropped off at the same location. If your accommodation is on the western banks, a meeting point will be arranged on the eastern side.
