Valley of the Kings and Queens, Colossus and Hatshepsut Tour

On this excursion, we'll visit the most famous necropolis of ancient Thebes, featuring the tombs of pharaohs such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, Set I, and queens like Nefertari.

Itinerary

After pickup at your hotel, boat, or train station, we'll leave the city and head to the east bank to explore the famous necropolis.

Our first stop will be the Valley of the Kings, a necropolis containing more than 60 tombs excavated in the rocks. The first king buried here was Thutmose I, making it the final resting place for kings such as Tutankhamun, Ramses II, Ramses III, and Set I.

Next, we will visit the Valley of the Queens, where the tombs of princesses and wives of New Kingdom Pharaohs are located. Here, you can see the tomb of Nefertari, the favorite wife of Ramses II (entry fee not included).

We will continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut, dedicated to the only woman who ruled Egypt for a prolonged period. This temple, designed by architect Sennenmut, features both rock-carved and terraced elements.

Before concluding the tour, we’ll stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues representing Pharaoh Amenhotep III.

The tour finishes back at the pickup point.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup and drop-off only at hotels and boats on the eastern banks of the Nile. If your location is on the western banks, a meeting point will be confirmed on the eastern side.
