Immerse yourself in the magic of the ancient Inca Trail, which will lead us to the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu. We'll hike through the majestic Peruvian Andes on this 2-day excursion.

2-Day Trek to Machu Picchu

Day 1

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Urubamba at 6 am and travel by bus to the Ollantaytambo train station, where we will board the train to kilometer 104, the starting point of the shorter version of the Inca Trail.

Upon arrival, we'll begin the 3-hour hike to Chachabamba and Wiñayhuayna, an important archaeological site. We'll enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing to Inti Punko, the Sun Gate.

Here we'll see our first glimpse of Machu Picchu from a viewpoint, where we can watch the sunset and take pictures. From Inti Punko, we'll take a bus to Aguas Calientes, check into the hotel, and rest until the next day.

Day 2

We'll have breakfast at the hotel and then take a bus up to Machu Picchu, where we will enjoy a 2.5-hour guided tour of the site. After the tour, you will have free time to explore independently.

At the agreed-upon time, we'll take the bus back to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll take a train to Ollantaytambo and drop you off at your hotel in Urubamba at 9:30 pm.

Accommodation

The tour includes one night's accommodation in a 3-star hotel in Aguas Calientes, subject to seasonal availability.

If the activity is cancelled due to strikes or adverse weather, an alternative date will be provided. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued, excluding the Inca Trail entrance fees (approx. 292 PEN), which are non-cancellable.
