4-Day Trek to Machu Picchu

Day 1: Urubamba - Lares - Cuncani

Pick up at your hotel in Urubamba at the indicated time to begin the hike. First, visit the Calca market for regional produce, ideal for snacks. Then, head to the natural pools in Lares to swim before enjoying a delicious lunch of regional dishes. Proceed to Cuncani for the first night's campsite and dinner.

Day 2: Cuncani - Pumahuanca Pass - Paccha

After an early breakfast, hike towards Sahuasiray Mountain and Colque Cruz, where panoramic views are available if the weather permits. Descend through a polypepi forest towards Pumahuanca Pass, standing at 5,318 meters (17,447 feet). Enjoy lunch en route before reaching Paccha for dinner and overnight at the campsite.

Day 3: Paccha - Ollantaytambo - Aguas Calientes

After breakfast at camp, continue to a local fish farm to learn about fish hatcheries, primarily rainbow trout. Following lunch, take a car to Ollantaytambo station and then a train to Aguas Calientes, where you will stay in a 3-star hotel and have dinner.

Day 4: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Urubamba

Start with a hearty breakfast at the hotel before visiting Machu Picchu for two hours. Return to Aguas Calientes for lunch at local restaurants. Then, take a train back to Ollantaytambo, where you will be picked up and returned to your hotel in Urubamba.

The tour includes 2 nights in tents with breakfast at Cuncani and Paccha campsites, and 1 night in a 3-star hotel in Aguas Calientes with breakfast.
