Day Trip to Machu Picchu

Explore the majestic Andes and legendary Machu Picchu on this scenic day trip, immersing in its history and landscapes.

Description

We will pick you up at your hotel early in the morning and head to the Ollantaytambo train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. The train journey features impressive Andean landscapes through a glass-roofed train. After an hour and a half, we will arrive at Aguas Calientes.

From there, a bus will take us to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. A 2.5-hour guided tour will provide insights into the site’s history and culture, including visits to the House of the Guardian.

Following the tour, we will return to Aguas Calientes for five hours of free time to explore and have lunch. We will reconvene at the train station for our return to Ollantaytambo, concluding the trip at your hotel between 6 and 7 pm.

The journey through the Sacred Valley of the Incas is aboard a train with large windows and a glass roof. You can choose between tourist class (Expedition train) or first class (Vistadome train) when making your reservation.

Individuals from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, or Peru can receive a discount for this trip to Machu Picchu.

Due to high demand, tickets to Machu Picchu may sell out, in which case an alternative route will be offered.

If alternative routes are sold out, scenic tours will be available at an additional guide fee of 70USD (for 1 person) or 35USD (for 2 people).

Should the tour be canceled due to strikes or weather conditions, an alternative date will be offered, or a full refund will be issued, excluding the non-refundable entrance fee to Machu Picchu (200 PEN).
