Private Tour Details
We'll meet at your chosen time at the Aguas Calientes train station and take the bus to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981.
After a 30 to 45-minute journey, we'll arrive at an altitude of over 7874 feet (2400 meters), where the lost city of the Incas is located in the Andes. We will enter the enclosure covering almost 92200 acres (37302 hectares), recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. The 2.5 to 3-hour guided tour will cover the history of the city, including tales of Pachacútec, the ninth sovereign of the Inca Empire.
As the tour progresses, you will understand why this site is a top tourist attraction, walking through streets and passages of around 60 monuments surrounding Machu Picchu's main square. The tour concludes with a return by minibus, lasting approximately 4 to 4 hours and 15 minutes.
Additional Info
Booking tickets to the Citadel of Machu Picchu at least a month in advance is recommended due to limited spaces.
