Private Tour Details
We'll meet at your chosen time at the Aguas Calientes train station and take the bus to Machu Picchu for a guided tour of the ruins, which were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1981. After a journey of 30 to 45 minutes, we will reach more than 7874 feet (2400 meters) of altitude, where the stunning lost city of the Incas awaits you in the heart of the Andes.
We will enter the enclosure, which extends over almost 92200 acres (37302 hectares), recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Our 2.5 to 3-hour guided tour will cover the city’s history, including legends of Pachacútec, the ninth sovereign of the Inca Empire, along with many other facts and stories. As we explore the streets and passages of the 60 monuments surrounding the main square, you will understand why this is one of the world’s most popular tourist attractions. After the tour, we will return by minibus to the starting point, concluding this 4 to 4 hours and 15-minute adventure.
Additional Info
We recommend booking tickets to the Citadel of Machu Picchu at least a month in advance, as spaces are limited.
