Nature, fresh air and breathtaking sunrise landscapes. Climb the highest peak of Portugal under the moonlight with this unforgettable Mount Pico Night Hike.

Mount Pico Night Hike

We'll meet at 2 am at the Casa da Montanha visitor centre, the starting point for our night hike on Mount Pico. The guide will provide instructions and distribute equipment needed for the trek. The hike will commence at a comfortable pace for all participants.

As we trek under the moonlight, we will witness the sun beginning to rise over the ocean. This experience of daylight breaking from Mount Pico will be memorable. We will make several stops to appreciate the stunning natural scenery from altitudes exceeding 2300 metres. Mount Pico is the highest point in Portugal.

Upon reaching the summit, participants can enjoy views of the Azores archipelago in full sunlight. Remember to bring your camera!

The night trek of Mount Pico concludes back at the starting point at 12 midday.
