Mount Pico Night Hike

We'll meet at 2 am at the Casa da Montanha visitor centre, the starting point for our night hike on Mount Pico. The guide will provide instructions and equipment for the trek. We'll set off at a comfortable pace for all participants.

As we hike under the moon and stars, we will witness the sun beginning to rise. The sight of daylight breaking over the ocean from Mount Pico is memorable.

We will continue to the peak, stopping to enjoy the scenic views from over 2300 metres. Mount Pico is the highest point in Portugal.

At the summit, we'll enjoy views of the Azores archipelago in full sunlight. Remember to bring your camera.

We'll conclude the night trek of Mount Pico back at the starting point by 12 midday.

Important

Participants must be in very good physical condition. This hike is not recommended for children under 13 or adults over 65. Additionally, it is crucial not to have participated in any diving activities 24 hours prior to this hike.
