Discover Cuenca, a World Heritage City, and its splendid hanging houses during a full-day trip from Madrid, followed by the geological site of the Ciudad Encantada.

Day Trip to Cuenca and Ciudad Encantada

At 8:30 am, our coach will depart from Plaza del Conde de Casal in Madrid toward Cuenca province, a former Roman settlement. Enjoy the landscape during the one-hour journey, stopping briefly in Tarancón for restroom or coffee break. Next, visit Ciudad Encantada, where you'll follow an English-speaking guide through this Natural Site of National Interest, known for its unique rock formations.

The tour continues to the “Mirador del Ventano Diablo,” an exceptional overlook, before arriving in Cuenca for a view of the Jucar River Gorge. You will have an hour and a half of free time in the Castle District for lunch.

After lunch, enjoy a guided tour of Cuenca to see the famous “hanging houses” from the Puente de San Pablo. Your guide will lead you to the Cuenca Cathedral to appreciate its Gothic façade and you will walk along Calle Alfonso VIII with its colorful buildings. After the tour, have a short time to explore and shop near Plaza Mayor.

At 6:45 pm, you will return to Madrid, arriving at approximately 8:30 pm.
