Do you want to discover Andalusia's hidden treasures? On this Buddhist Stupa & White Villages Axarquia Day Trip, you'll see some of Andalusia's most tucked away monuments as well as the charming villages of Comares, Cútar and El Borge.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Paseo de la Farola in Malaga and board the minibus to the Karma Guen Buddhist Centre.

After a 40-minute drive, we'll arrive at the Velez-Malaga Buddhist Stupa, the first of its kind built outside Asia in 1994. We will discuss its details and symbolism.

We'll walk through the Buddhist centre's rural paths, enjoying views of the sea and the Tejeda and Almijara mountain ranges. Next, we will visit the Atalaya Tower, a 15th-century fortress with Arab-style architecture.

Then, we will spend the day visiting the region's white villages. Our first stop is Comares, where we'll have a guided tour and then 1 hour of free time for lunch.

Our next stop will be Cútar, visiting the historic fountain and Our Lady of the Incarnation Church before continuing to El Borge. We'll explore its streets and visit the El Rosario Church's crypt.

Finally, we'll conclude the tour, returning to Malaga after approximately 8 hours of exploration.
