Do you want to discover Andalusia's hidden treasures? On this Buddhist Stupa & White Villages Axarquia Day Trip, you'll see some of Andalusia's most tucked away monuments as well as the charming villages of Comares, Cútar and El Borge.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Paseo de la Farola in Malaga and board the minibus to the Karma Guen Buddhist Centre.

After a 40-minute drive, we will arrive at the Velez-Malaga Buddhist Stupa, the first of its kind built outside Asia, erected in 1994. We will discuss its details and symbolism.

We will walk through the Buddhist centre's paths, enjoying views of the sea and the Tejeda and Almijara mountain ranges. We will then visit the nearby Atalaya Tower, a 15th-century fortress with Arab-style architecture.

We will continue our day visiting the region's white villages, starting with Comares, where we will have a guided tour and 1 hour of free time for lunch.

Next, we will stop at Cútar, visiting the historic fountain and Our Lady of the Incarnation Church before heading to El Borge. We will explore its streets and visit the El Rosario Church's crypt.

Finally, we will conclude the tour and return to Malaga after approximately 8 hours of exploring.
