Travel from Malaga to one of the main tourist attractions of the province on our Caminito del Rey Day Trip. You'll walk through the famous Gaitanes Gorge and admire incredible views of Malaga's rugged landscape.
Caminito del Rey Day Trip
We'll meet at Avenida de Andalucía, at the bus stop 2009, and board a minibus that will take us northwest through the beautiful inland countryside of the province of Malaga.
During the journey, we will cross the Alcaparaín mountain range and see extensive orange groves and several Andalusian white villages. We'll make a quick half-hour stop in the village of Ardales for a break.
For approximately 3 hours, we'll walk around 4.8 km (3 miles) along the Caminito del Rey from the northern access located in Ardales, crossing several tunnels. During the hike, we'll admire the Guadalhorce reservoir and go down the most famous stairs of the Caminito del Rey.
The tour will include discovering the geology, wildlife, and landscapes. The footbridge, suspended almost 340 ft (105 meters) above the Gaitanes Gorge, offers panoramic views of the Sierra de Málaga. The walk will take around 2.5-3 hours, with stops at viewpoints for photos and information.
After enjoying the Caminito del Rey, we'll finish the excursion at the starting point.
