Travel from Malaga to one of the main tourist attractions of the province on our Caminito del Rey Day Trip. You'll walk through the famous Gaitanes Gorge and admire incredible views of Malaga's rugged landscape.
Caminito del Rey Day Trip
We'll meet at Avenida de Andalucía, at the bus stop 2009, and board a minibus that'll take us northwest through the beautiful inland countryside of the province of Malaga.
During the journey, we'll cross the Alcaparaín mountain range and see extensive orange groves and several Andalusian white villages. We'll make a quick half-hour stop in the village of Ardales for a break.
For approximately 3 hours, we'll walk around 4.8 km (3 miles) along the Caminito del Rey from the northern access in Ardales, crossing several tunnels. The hike includes views of the Guadalhorce reservoir and the famous stairs of the Caminito del Rey.
The tour will cover the geology, wildlife, and spectacular landscapes. The footbridge, suspended about 340 ft (105 meters) above the Gaitanes Gorge, provides panoramic views of the Sierra de Málaga. The entire route takes about 2.5-3 hours with stops for photos and information.
After the Caminito del Rey experience, we'll conclude the excursion at the starting point.
