A Museum with Andalusian Soul

Located on Calle Compañía 10, right in the historic center of Málaga, the Carmen Thyssen Museum is surrounded by major landmarks such as the Cathedral (5 minutes away) and the Alcazaba (15 minutes on foot). The museum is housed in the Palacio de Villalón, a beautifully restored 16th-century Renaissance building that enhances the artistic experience.
The museum boasts one of the finest collections of 19th- and early 20th-century Spanish paintings, with a special focus on Andalusian art. Highlights include works by Zurbarán, Sorolla, and Fortuny, among others.

A Multi-Sensory Experience of Art

In addition to its permanent collection, the museum offers thematic tours such as Flamenco, Carnival, and Patios and Gardens, connecting the artwork to southern Spanish culture. The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions, providing fresh perspectives and contemporary insights.
Your ticket includes full access to the museum and a digital audio guide. Simply scan the QR code on the artwork’s label to access its audio description.
