"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls". So said Pablo Ruiz Picasso, Malaga's best-known painter and one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. This museum dedicated to his life is situated in his birthplace.

Within the artist's former home, visitors can explore at their own pace, discovering different rooms, art, and personal belongings of the painter through an audioguide available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, and Chinese.

The thematic tour explores Picasso's connection with Malaga, highlighting the influence of his hometown on his personality and works. The museum includes sketchbooks, a large display of lithographs, and a collection of decorated ceramics.

This flexible ticket provides access to both the permanent collection and temporary exhibitions at the Picasso Museum in Malaga. Temporary exhibitions showcase unique collectibles signed by Picasso and other artists.

Admission is not allowed less than 15 minutes before closing time. Hours are subject to change.

Special Hours

From August 17th to 25th, during the Feria de Malaga, the museum will be open from 9:30 am to 3 pm (doors close at 2:30 pm).

Free entrance

Admission is free for children under 18 years of age, available directly at the museum's ticket office with proof of age.
