3-Day Private Tour of Mount Bromo & Ijen Volcano

Incredible landscapes, magical sunrises, and the curious phenomena of blue fire are the main attractions of this 3-day private tour of Mount Bromo and the Ijen volcano. You'll travel through one of the most mountainous areas on Java.

Description

Day 1: Malang - Mount Bromo

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel or Malang airport. We'll then head to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, where we'll be staying.

The rest of the day is free for you to explore the surrounding green areas. Dinner will be followed by an early bedtime in preparation for the next day’s activities.

Day 2: Mount Bromo - Bondowoso

We'll wake up at 3 am and take a 4x4 to Mount Penanjakan for a sunrise view over Mount Bromo, accompanied by coffee. After enjoying the sunrise, we'll cross the sea sand plain and trek to the crater of Mount Bromo, an active volcano over 2,300 meters (7,545 feet) high. Key facts about the volcano and views of Semeru will be shared during this visit.

After visiting a Hindu temple, we will stop for breakfast at a restaurant. We will continue to Bondowoso, stopping for lunch en route. The evening will be free in this town located in the foothills of the Ijen volcano.

Day 3: Bondowoso - Ijen Volcano - Malang

The final day begins early as we head to the Ijen volcano. A small picnic breakfast will be provided as we walk. We will embark on a night-time trek of about one hour to reach the crater just before sunrise.

You will have the opportunity to witness the blue fire of the Ijen volcano, created by the reaction of sulphuric gases and oxygen. Our journey back to Malang will follow, including a lunch stop, with arrival expected between 4 pm and 5 pm.
