3-Day Private Tour of Mount Bromo & Ijen Volcano

Incredible landscapes, magical sunrises, and the curious phenomena of blue fire are the main attractions of this 3-day private tour of Mount Bromo and the Ijen volcano. You'll travel through one of the most mountainous and rugged areas on the island of Java.

Description

Day 1: Malang - Mount Bromo

At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up from your hotel or at Malang airport. We'll then make our way to Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, where we'll stay. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the green areas around the hotel. Have dinner and rest early for the next day's activities.

Day 2: Mount Bromo - Bondowoso

We'll begin the day at 3 am, departing in a 4x4 to Mount Penanjakan for views of the sunrise over Mount Bromo. After sunrise, we will cross the sea sand plain and head to the crater of Mount Bromo, which is over 2,300 metres (7,545 feet) and active. After exploring, we'll visit a Hindu temple and stop for breakfast at a restaurant before heading to Bondowoso, with a lunch stop along the way. You’ll have the evening free in this local town where we’ll spend the night.

Day 3: Bondowoso - Ijen Volcano - Malang

On the final day, we will depart early for the Ijen volcano with a breakfast picnic while walking. We will embark on a night-time trek of around an hour, arriving at the crater just before sunrise to witness the blue fire phenomenon. We will then begin our journey back to Malang, stopping for lunch and arriving between 4 pm and 5 pm.
