Private Tour of Topeng Culture

Your adventure begins at 9 am when we collect you from your accommodation in Malang. After a warm welcome, we will board a comfortable minibus to commence our journey towards a local village.

Approximately 45 minutes later, we will arrive at Kedungmonggo Village. Upon our arrival, a knowledgeable community member will guide us to the Malang Art and Mask Studio, where we will delve into the history and craftsmanship involved in the creation of these beautiful masks.

Following our studio visit, you will have the opportunity to fully engage with Topeng culture by enjoying an entertaining traditional dance performance. Some community members will share their expertise with us, offering a chance to learn the dance steps and join in the fun.

After the performance, a delightful lunch featuring an array of traditional Topeng dishes awaits us. Once we finish our meal, we will return to the workshops where you will have the chance to add some colour to your own masks, encouraging your creativity to shine.

We will conclude our tour with a return trip to your hotel in Malang, arriving by approximately 3 pm.
