Cabo Polonio Private Day Trip
We'll pick you up at your hotel around 10 am and start our journey to the beach of La Pedrera, located on the Uruguayan coast of Rocha. This area features several seaside resorts and coastal towns, where we'll see sandy beaches and rock formations along the shore.
Then we'll continue our day trip north until we reach the terminal of Cabo. We'll swap our vehicle for a 4x4 to drive along the sandy roads leading to Cabo Polonio National Park. We'll discover this natural reserve inhabited by about fifty people and admire the three islets known as Islas Torres (Torres Islands) situated near the shore.
Next, we'll visit the iconic landmark in Cabo Polonio– its lighthouse. We'll learn about the history of this 200-year-old building and understand why it was declared a historical monument.
After enjoying some free time on the beach, we'll set off again to visit the beach resort of La Paloma, where you'll watch the sun setting over the Uruguayan beaches.
Finally, after a day exploring the nature of Cabo Polonio, we'll arrive at the hotel in Punta del Este at around 8 pm.
