Private Excursion to José Ignacio Resort
We will begin the journey with a hotel pickup before setting off to La Barra, a charming town renowned for its distinctive charm, vibrant houses, and significant visitor appeal due to its art galleries, clubs, and dining venues.
While exploring, you'll encounter its well-known beaches, including Montoya, Bikini, and Manantiales, which grace the southern coast of Uruguay with stunning vistas. Our destination is one of Uruguay's most exquisite natural treasures: the José Ignacio beach resort.
Upon arrival in José Ignacio, you'll be struck by the juxtaposition of the local fishermen's lifestyle against the backdrop of affluent visitors who flock to its shores during summer. We will stroll through its beaches, visit the legendary José Ignacio Lighthouse, the central square, the amphitheater, and the church dedicated to Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.
You'll then have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at your own pace, taking in the peaceful sea and the pristine sands of the natural beach at José Ignacio. After this rejuvenating stop, we will begin our return journey to Punta del Este.
En route, we will make a brief stop at the Pablo Atchugarry Foundation and the Museum of the Sea, which boasts the largest collection of marine fauna in the world. This extensive exhibit features over 5,000 specimens, including various sea urchins, starfish, corals, whale skeletons, turtle shells, and shark jaws.
In conclusion, we will head back to Punta del Este, arriving at your hotel around 2 pm.
