Discover the quieter side of Malé with this day trip to the small island of Villimale. You'll see what life is like for locals and learn how they care for the environment.

Day Trip to Villimale

We'll meet at the jetty and board a ferry which will take us to the island of Villimale.

In just 15 minutes we'll reach the island, allowing you to explore one of the prettiest areas near the capital. You'll notice that despite their proximity, Malé and Villimale are worlds apart!

We'll walk around the island for approximately one hour, appreciating the relaxing streets. Additionally, we'll meet members of Save the Beach, a local NGO, dedicated to environmental preservation. You'll learn about their project and the importance locals place on the environment.

After exploring Villimale, we'll visit a beachside café where you can enjoy a delicious hedika, a traditional snack of small pastries with a cup of tea.

Before returning to the capital, you'll experience a breathtaking natural sunset from the calm of Villimale. Then, we'll board the ferry again and return to Malé, arriving 4 hours later.
