Excursion to Villimale
We will commence our adventure at the Villimalé Ferry Terminal, where we will embark on a boat journey to the island of Villimale.
In just a brief 15-minute ride, you’ll arrive at the island, opening the door to one of the most picturesque spots near the Maldivian capital. Upon landing, it will become clear that, although close, Malé and Villimale offer vastly different experiences!
Our leisurely stroll will last about an hour as we take in the serene beauty of the island’s streets. You will also meet with representatives of an NGO called Save the Beach, who are dedicated to environmental conservation. They will share insights into their initiatives and highlight the community’s commitment to sustaining nature.
Following our exploration of Villimale, we’ll visit a cozy café by the beach where you can savor a delightful hedika, a traditional snack featuring a selection of small pastries served with tea.
Before concluding our trip, we will take in the breathtaking view of the sunset from the peaceful shores of Villimale. Afterward, we will board the ferry for the return journey to Malé, wrapping up this memorable 4-hour experience.
