Chania, Lake Kournas & Rethymno Excursion

At 7:30 am, we will meet at the designated location in Malia to begin our tour of western Crete.

Our first stop will be Chania, known as the 'mother of the Cretan cities'. We will explore the Old City, including the picturesque harbor, Venetian fortifications, and Turkish mosques. In the modern section of Chania, there will be opportunities to experience local cuisine and shop in the local market for souvenirs.

After 1.5 hours in Chania, we will continue to Lake Kournas, one of Crete's notable attractions. Here, you will have two hours of free time to enjoy this freshwater lake, fed by subterranean water from the Lefka Ori mountains. Activities include swimming and dining at nearby restaurants.

At approximately 4:15 pm, we will head to our final destination, Rethymno. We will explore key sites, including a 16th-century Venetian fortress, the Rimondi Fountain, and the Venetian Loggia.

The tour will conclude around 7:30 pm, returning to the meeting point in Malia.
